Thanksgiving is hands down my favorite holiday and it’s not just because of all the delicious food we eat. I love this time of year because it’s a time to reflect on everything we have to be thankful for and the many gifts the Lord has bestowed upon us.

2020 has been a difficult year for everyone, my family included. The pandemic has instilled fear in the hearts of many Americans. A contentious election has made our country feel more divided than ever. Despite the fear and uncertainty in our lives today, there is still a lot to be thankful for this holiday season.

I am thankful we are a God-fearing nation. In times of crisis, our country has always turned to the Lord and prayed for strength, guidance and healing.

While I wish the COVID-19 pandemic never happened, it has made me appreciate even more the time I spend with my family and loved ones. I am also thankful for technology that has allowed people to connect with their loved ones while they can’t spend time together in person.

Even with the challenges our country faces, we should be grateful we live in the greatest country in the world and for the freedoms we have. We must remember that what divides us as a country will never outweigh what unites us.

Thanksgiving remains an opportunity for all of us to take a step back and acknowledge how blessed we truly are.

From my family to yours, we wish you a very happy Thanksgiving.
