Kingston Takes Down Sulphur

Wildcats Defeat Plainview Monday

The Madill Wildcats took to the diamond on Monday, March 26, for a doubleheader against Plainview.

In game one, the Wildcats held Plainview scoreless through the first four innings behind senior Jake McHatton on the mound.

Idleman’s Arm, Flesher’s Bat Lead Kingston to Run-Rule Victory

Jake Idleman was on the mound for just four innings for the Redskins, but that’s all it took to shut Lone Grove down on Monday, March 26.

In those innings, Idleman gave up just one walk, while striking out six batters. He didn’t allow a hit in the four innings against the Longhorns.

McHatton, Madill Qualify for National Archery Meet

Madill senior Jake McHatton was one of 10 Oklahoma students to qualify for the National Archery Tournament after scoring a 288 at the State Tournament. Madill Archery also qualified for Nationals as a team, scoring 3,184. They are one of 17 schools in the state to qualify.

Kingston Baseball Falls Short against Plainview, Marlow

The Kingston Redskins have officially started the 2018 baseball season, and they have faced several opponents already.

On Tuesday, March 13, the Redskins traveled to Plainview where Kingston took an 11-3 loss before losing 12-4 to Marlow on Monday, March 19.

Redskin’s at Bat, Ready for the Spring Season

The Kingston Redskin baseball season has just started. They played their first game on the baseball field Tuesday, March 13, against Plainview.

Coach Darron Henson said they are going to have a short season, but he is expecting great things from his players.

Henson said, “I feel really good about this season. We had a good summer with a few new and young faces, and I think that will help us out during the spring.”

Kingston Qualifies Seven for State Powerlifting, Wildcats to Send Five

Both the Madill Wildcats and the Kingston Redskins will be sending five or more powerlifters to the State Meet this weekend.

Representing Marshall County in the Small School Division will be Kingston, who qualified seven lifters at the Regional Meet on Friday, March 2.

Reeves, Henderson Lead Kingston to Historic Win

In 2017, the Kingston Redskins wrote their own version of a Cinderella story by being the first boys basketball team to make it to the State Basketball Tournament in recent history.

In 2018, the history books are being dusted off once again as the Redskins are headed back to the Class 3A State Tournament. This time, however, the celebration gets sweeter, as the Lady Redskins will be joining them, adding their own chapter to the history books.

Academic State Champions

The Kingston Redskins were recently named the Class 3A Boys Basketball Academic State Champions. The award is given to the team with the highest overall combined GPA. The Redskins together have a grade-point average of 3.78.
