Madill Football Team Receives Donation

The Wildcat Football Team received a $2,500 donation from Lauren’s Legacy Foundation.

The donation was given to purchase 60 Guardian caps. The caps reduce 30 percent of the impact from a collision to the head.

Lauren’s Legacy Foundation was founded in 2015 after Lauren (a seventh grader at Dickson who had ties to Madill) was killed in an ATV accident in 2014.

According to the foundation, “Lauren had strong ties to the Madill area, her Great Grandparents, Roy and Ruth McAdoo, were prominent citizens for many years before passing away. Roy was an Elementary Principal and assistantsuperintendent in Madill from 1969-1975. Lauren’s great-uncle, Randy McAdoo, owns Pharmacy Plus.”

Lauren’s parents wanted to honor their daughter’s memory by helping athletic programs.
