MHS’ First Outdoor Track Meet

The MHS Track Teams headed to Duncan on Saturday, March 9, for the season opener of the Outdoor Track Season. Coach Jaggars and coach Eidson are proud of both the girls and the boys for their competitiveness, “There are always improvements to be made. We will work on improving each day.”

Laffita, Anderson Take First in State Powerlifting

The Wildcats traveled to El Reno on March 15 for their State Meet, and the Lady ‘Cats traveled to Dickson on March 11.

Five athletes from Madill managed to qualify for State after competing in the Regional Meet.

2019 State Champions

The Kingston High School Redskin Basketball Team traveled to the OSSAA State Basketball Tournament last Thursday, March 7, with a goal to bring home the “Gold Ball.” After three, hard-fought games, the Kingston Redskins claimed victory and achieved their goal. The Redskins faced-off against Christian Heritage on Thursday and won 58-48. Then they played Spiro in the Semifinals and won 55-45. On Saturday night Kingston, the No. 1 Class 3A team, met Millwood, the No. 2 team, on the court for the Championship Game. Kingston took the win over the Millwood Falcons and the State Championship, 60-30, and brought home the long-awaited and well-deserved “Gold Ball.”

Lady Redskins Make It to State Playoffs

This crazy season is over for the Lady Redskins of Kingston High School. And, needless to say, the entire season has been a roller coaster. If it were easy, everyone would be doing it.

What these girls give physically to play this type of game (full court, pressing defense) is nothing short of amazing. They must know how much their fans appreciate the effort they give each and every night.

Every time they play someone is talking about how much they love to watch them.

Kingston Redskins Make History

The 2018-2018 Kingston Redskin Basketball Team has made history and will forever be remembered. On March 9, 2019, the Kingston Redskins played to win and took home the coveted “Gold Ball.”

Since last year, they had the taste of the State Championship in their mouths. When they stepped back on the court for the first time this year, they had one goal in mind – to get back to State and win.

They did just that, and everyone in and around the town of Kingston is beaming with pride.

Hitting the Ground Running : KHS Track & Field

Kingston High School is gearing up for track season, and this year the teams have several returning team membersfrom last year, which the two head coaches believe will help make this a great season.

Head coach Bruce Keatts (Redskins) and head coach Dewayne Taylor (LadyRedskins) both believe thattheir athletes will go further than last year and will continue to see success in Kingston sports.

Redskins on to State Tournament

Redskins calmly take care of unranked Purcell Dragons on Friday night to win the Area Tournament and punched their ticket for the State Tournament in OKC next week.

Purcell was somewhat of a surprise as they upset their rival,Washington, to stake a claim in the Winner’s Bracket. The Redskins had no intention of losing and taking the extra steps in the Loser’s Bracket to get to their destination.

State Bound Once Again

When the activity bus from Kingston pulls out on Thursday, the Lady Redskins will be on it. Not to be forgotten, these girls are making their second consecutive trip to OKC. It wasn’t easy, but it never has been for these girls. If it wasn’t a hard fought, difficult, physical battle, these girls would not know how to act.

Lady ‘Cats End Season at Bethel

The Lady ‘Cats advanced to the second round of Regionals, playing the Bethel Wildcats (at Bethel) on Friday, Feb. 22. Bethel brought strong, fast basketball to the court, not allowing the Lady ‘Cats to score in the first quarter of play,with Bethel in the lead at the end of one, 8 to 0.
