KES Teacher receives donation from Limeades for Learning

Donation Received

One of the lucky few to win money for school supplies from Sonic’s annual Limeades for Learning includes local Kingston elementary teacher JoGayle Walker.

According to Walker’s fund page called “Why Fit in When You Were Born to Stand Out!”, Walker campaigned to raise money for clipboards for each of her students. These clipboards allow her energetic first graders more seating options.

“Flexible seating allows my learners to take control of their own learning and make the choices that work best for them and their learning outcomes,” Walker wrote on her campaign page.

These clipboards will be used during independent work time.

Walker campaigned for $242.01 to be used for 25 clipboards. With the $129 donation from Sonic, “Why Fit in When You Were Born to Stand Out!” has met its goal.
