Madill School Board updated on progress

The Madill School Board of Education held their monthly meeting on June 27. The meeting began with regular housekeeping items like approving the prior month’s meetings and Treasurer’s and Activity Fund Reports.

Once the housekeeping agenda items were finished, the school board received updates on the construction happening on the school grounds. The Madill Superintendent Larry Case said they should have the playground equipment up soon and he is “very excited” to see the progress.

The track and football field are progressing nicely and the workers are diligent, Case said. “When it’s not raining, they’re out there working hard.”

The Fine Arts building is “coming along” and the drainage by the Wild Cat Den is being repaired.

After updating the board on the progress of the construction, the board was updated on a new rule being implemented in 2019.
