Wildcat golfers tee-off at First-ever state Appearance

The Madill Wildcat Golf Team headed to Dornick Hills, in Ardmore, for a two-day State competition.

The first round on May 6 found the Wildcats with 379 total points.

Casey Jones shot an 87; Ezekiel Fuentes shot a 90; Britton Goss shot a 100; Jacob Massey a 102; and Ian Zang finished with 114.

Head coach, Stewart Bond said, “The boys worked to improve every week since the first day on all parts of their game. The work paid off at the end of the season by qualifying for the State Tournament for the first time in school history.

“Very proud of their efforts and the will to compete. This was a huge step in the golf programs at Madill schools.”
