Wildcats Played Baseball during Spring Break

The Madill Wildcat Baseball Team played three games during spring break. The first game was on March 18, when the Wildcats traveled to Byng to play the Byng Pirates. The Pirates were too much to stop for the Wildcats. Both teams were scoreless in the first inning, but the Pirates scored eight runs in the second inning, while holding the Wildcats scoreless. In the third inning, the Pirates scored three more runs, with the Wildcats still scoreless. The fourth inning was no better with the Wildcats still scoreless and the Pirates adding three more runs. Both teams were scoreless in the fourth. The Wildcats were still not on the board at the end of the fifth inning, with the Pirates taking the win, 14 to 0. Senior, Ethan Nixon, pitched five innings, allowing 18 hits, and had five strikeouts. Sophomore, Wylbe Roberts, and Junior, Isaac Eades, had one hit each.
