Billy Bob Woods

Billy Bob Woods, 83, of Madill, Okla., passed away Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019, at the Brookside Nursing Center in Madill. He was born on Feb. 23, 1935, in Kingston, Okla., to the late Duncan Woods and Alpha Snellgrove Woods. Billy was raised in Kingston and graduated from Kingston High School. He married Glendena Richardson in 1956, and she preceded him in death on August 4, 2001. Billy worked in the oil field in Oklahoma and later moved to West Texas where he continued working in the oil field. Billy later moved to Oklahoma City, and worked in construction for his brother at J&P Construction. After retiring he moved back to Madill and later to Kingston. He was affiliated with the Victory Life Church in Durant, and he enjoyed working with his cows and on the home place.

He is survived by his children: Sherry Hall and husband, Ron, Broken Arrow, Okla.; Tammy Thomas, Durant, Okla.; Misti Sprouse, Kingston, Okla.; Terry Dupree and husband, Jerry, Kingston, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 16 greatgrandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, wife, three brothers: Henry, Joe and Merle; and two sisters: Audrey Spence and Edna Mae Wheeler.

Visitation was Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla.

Services were Friday, Feb. 1, 2019, at 2 p.m. at the Watts Funeral Home, Kingston, Okla. Mike Stephens officiated the service. Interment was at the Kingston Cemetery, Kingston, Okla.

Casket bearers were : Jerry Dupree, Ron Hall, Wesley Thomas, Larry Spence, Greg Johnson, and Kenny Wheeler.
