7 Make the All-District Team

The 2018 Softball All-District Teams were named, and Kingston dominated the roster with six players making the cut. Head softball coach Darron Henson said, “These girls go out and do work on their own which reflects onto their success. Also the confidence they have built as a team helps them play well

.” Taylor Spence was named “Co-Player of the Year.” Over the season, Spence pitched in a total of 35 games and 163 innings. She served up 2,256 pitches, only allowed 67 runs, and struck out 135 players. Offensively, Spence made 137 plate appearances and managed 38 hits. Kobe McDonald was named “Offensive Player of the Year.” She made 135 plate appearances and had a batting average of .407 percent. McDonald managed 44 hits over the season – broken down that looks like: 37 singles, four doubles, and three triples. She scored 28 runs and worked hard for 21 RBI’s. Danna Wagnon earned the title of “Defensive Player of the Year.” Her fielding percentage for the fast-pitch season was .965. Broken down that is: 85 total chances, 2 assists, and 80 putouts. She also had three double plays in the season. One of the three pitchers for the All-District team (not including “Pitcher of the Year”) is Jewell Henry. She pitched 68 innings in a total of 20 games over the season. She faced a total of 276 batters and struck out 51
