Sharon Rue Freeman

Sharon Rue Freeman, 67, of Kingston, Okla., passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, at her home in Kingston. She was born on Dec. 4, 1950, in Madill, Okla., to the late Charles H. LeFlore and Hazel Everett LeFlore. Sharon was raised in Kingston where she graduated from the Kingston High School in 1969. She later attended the North Texas State University in Denton, Texas, where she received her bachelor’s degree in education. Sharon married Richard (Tommy) Freeman in Kingston on Sept. 2, 1969. She has lived in Missouri, Arkansas, Texas, and Broken Arrow, Okla., before moving back to Kingston where she lived the rest of her life. Sharon enjoyed golfing, traveling, reading, listening to music, and solving any type of puzzle. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren. Sharon was a lifelong member of the Kingston Church of Christ. She is survived by her husband: Richard (Tommy) Freeman, Kingston, Okla.; children: Ryan Freeman and wife, Desi, Westminister, Md.; Robert Freeman and Andrea Blackmore, Oklahoma City, Okla.; grandchildren: Rory Lillian Freeman, Holden Thomas Freeman; sisters: Brenda Jones and husband, Gary, Kington, Okla.; Oteka Beasley and husband, Nick, Madill, Okla.; Lawana Self, Lewisville, Texas; brothers: Charles LeFlore and wife, Fern, Mesquite, Texas; Paul LeFlore and wife, Sandra, Aubrey, Texas; several nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother: Colin LeFlore. Memorials may be made to Kingston Church of Christ, 23 Main St, Kingston, OK 73439. Services will be Saturday, Aug. 11, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Woodberry-Forest Cemetery, Madill, Okla. Chris Webb will officiate the service.
