AARP Oklahoma Observes World Elder Abuse Awareness Day

Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin held a ceremonial bill signing on June 15 to officially observe the passage of two pieces of legislation to protect seniors from fraud and abuse. The ceremonial signing fell on World Elder Abuse Awareness Day, a day where communities and advocates raise awareness of the serious issue of elder abuse and resolve to implement changes allowing all adults to age with dignity, free from fraud, abuse, and neglect.
