Commissioners Agree to Push for County Sanitarian

Mendy Spohn, director of the Marshall County Health Department, visited with Marshall County Commissioners about the current condition of the Department and how there is a strong need for a county sanitarian.

The issues were discussed during the Commissioners’ regular meeting on Monday, May 7. According to Spohn, one issue that the Marshall County Health Department has is the absence of a sanitarian, or a health inspector as they are commonly known.

The County has been without such a position for approximately two years.
