Crisp Takes Fourth at STATE

By Molly Raley

The Madill Wildcats had two weight classes represented at the Class 4A State Wrestling Tournament last weekend. Of those, Zane Crisp earned Fourth Place in his last high school wrestling tournament. Sophomore Dylan McCullough won one match in the two-day tournament but unfortunately came up just short of the medal stand.

On Friday, Feb. 23, Crisp and McCullough each took a first round loss, sending them to the Consolation Bracket, with a Third Place medal now in sight.

In the 220-pound weight division, Crisp earned a 5-0 decision over his opponent from Blanchard. With that win Crisp earned a spot in the Consolation Rounds on Saturday morning.
