Sharon Kay Bartee

Sharon Kay Bartee 74, of Madill, Okla., passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at the Nursing Center in Marietta, Okla. She was born on Oct. 9, 1943, in Bartlesville, Okla., to the late Gerald Thomas Bellmyer and Betty Jo Graham Bellmyer. Sharon was raised in Pasadena, Texas, and graduated from Pasadena High School. She lived in Houston, Texas, before moving to Dallas, Texas, where she married Royce Andrew Bartee on March 7, 1970. Sharon later lived in Mesquite and Arlington, Texas, and New Orleans, La., before moving to Madill in 2003 where she lived the rest of her life. She was a member of the “Going Girls” and the Oakview Baptist Church. Sharon loved her family and enjoyed life. She is survived by her husband: Royce Bartee, Madill, Okla.; son: Richard Bartee, Dayton, Nev.; and brother: Tommy Bellmyer and wife, Clair, Tenaha, Texas. Visitation was Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at Watts Funeral Home, Madill, Okla., from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with a family hour from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Services were Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2017, at 2 p.m. at the Oakview Baptist Church, Madill, Okla. Greg Idell officiated the service. Interment was at the Rollins Cemetery, Simpson, Okla. Casket bearers were: Michael Gray, Bryan Gray, Robert Bartee, Andrew Bartee, Stephen Wiese, and Craig Murphy.
