Redskins Claim Shutout Victory over Tishomingo

By Molly Raley

Scoring 21 points in the third quarter sealed the Redskins’ (5-1, 2-0) 31-0 shutout victory over District rival Tishomingo (0-7, 0-3) on Friday night.

The game was close in the first quarter after Kingston’s Trey Keatts made a 29-yard field goal to put the Redskins on the board with a 3-0 lead over the Indians. That lead stuck and Kingston added to it later in the first quarter when Rylee Holmes connected with Tyler Blanchard for a 51-yard touchdown pass. Keatts made the extra-point kick, giving Kingston a 10-0 lead over Tishomingo.
