Madill, Kingston to Decide on Bond Issue Proposals

By Tina Firquain

On Sept. 12, a vote for a bond for new classrooms will be called for by Madill Public Schools. This bond is part of a series of bonds.

This $19.8 million bond issue will provide a new classroom building for some “unique” classes that the school already offers.

The new building would contain four classrooms, which would include safe rooms as well.

These classrooms would be used for Band, Choir, Art, and Speech and Drama.

The proposed bond would total $19.885 million. These funds would be used to purchase and prepare the property to be the site of the new construction, the actual construction of the building, as well as to furnish and equip each classroom for its specific purpose.
