Kingston Cheer Participates in Camp

The Kingston High School Cheer Team attended the UCA Camp June 5 through June 8 at the University of Oklahoma, in Norman, June 5 through June 8. They brought home three trophies – First Place for Sideline Chants, Second Place for their Cheer, and Third Place Overall. They also received all gold and blue Superior ribbons and brought home the Spirit Stick (after being awarded the Spirit Stick twice).

The girls attending were: Patricia Alvarez, Kayli Bolay, Allison Boone, Alyssa Castillo, Lizzy Cheairs, Shelby Clay, Faith Cornett, MaKenna Daniels, Tatum Davis, Caroline Dowdy, Jenna French, Jillian Hatfield, Alea Hewitt, Kiera Pinnich, Kaylyn Rose, and Aspen Thompson. Castillo won the distinction of All-American Cheerleader. Coaches were Nancy Flowers and Macy Watts. According to Flowers, Watts, a former KHS Cheerleader, was a tremendous help to the team. KHS Cheer learned new cheers, chants, and dances.
