What Can the Marshall County Health Department Do for YOU?

A Q&A with Regional Administrative Director Spohn

The Marshall County Health Department offers many services to its citizens. The Madill Record spoke with the Regional Administrative Director, Mendy Spohn, to ask qustions about several programs within Marshall County. Spohn is the administrator for Carter, Love, Marshall, Johnston, Stephens, and Jefferson Counties. The Q&A follows:

Q The Health Department offers childhood immunizations. Is that income-based and how can someone take advantage of that service?

A “The Health Department offers a variety of immunizations covering childhood and adult age groups. We administer the Vaccine For Children Program free to eligible families, based on income and other criteria. We generally have state purchased vaccine free for adults with low income. Vaccines for adults and for children with insurance are dependent upon our current supplies. One of the easiest ways for families and individuals to determine what immunizations we offer that fit their needs is to call us. We can help find resources if we are unable to assist.”
