Marvin Rudolph Clark

Marvin Rudolph Clark, 89, of Madill, Okla., passed away Friday, June 9, 2017, at the Veterans Center in Ardmore, Okla. He was born on April 7, 1928, in Noxapater, Miss., to the late Mercer Mitchell Clark and Thelma Clay Clark. Marvin was raised in Noxapater where he attended school, picked cotton, and broke mules. He joined the United State Air Force when he turned eighteen and served during the Korean War. Marvin married Shirley Olmsted on Jan. 11, 1950, in Aurora, Colo. He retired in 1968, and traveled with his wife, spending much of the time in Florida. In 1995, he moved to Madill and has lived the past six years in Ardmore. Marvin loved to fish, hunt, and live in the great outdoors. He is survived by his wife: Shirley Clark, Madill, Okla.; daughter: Linda Clark, Madill, Okla.; grandsons: Jamison Morris and Elizabeth Lesney, Kingston, Okla.; Jeremy Morris, Phoenix, Ariz. Marvin was preceded in death by parents; and one brother. No services at this time. Services were under the direction of Watts Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Madill, Okla.
